At Hard Line we use the most top quality platinum medical grade silicone which is great for folks with sensitivities and also so easy to keep clean!
Just use a mild soap (like Dawn dish soap), clean thoroughly and let air dry! If you want to make your prosthetic feel like the real deal, add a touch of corn starch (or anything without talc powder) to make it super silky. Normal wear and tear will happen especially if being packed with every day. The longevity of your prosthetic depends on how you care for it.
How to use your new prosthetic
We always recommend using a harness or STP strap to make sure it stays in place on your body - and especially out in public! They do not adhere to the body and we do not suggest using body glue in case it messes up your prosthetic.
PRACTICE: Practice! Practice! Practice! We recommend trying to use the STP function in the shower until you get the hang of it! This is the best way to figure out how it fits your unique body until it feels like a true extension! Get used to controlling your flow, see what works best for you. Try holding the balls and cup to ensure there is no leaking and pinch the head of the prosthetic to allow urine to stream. Be careful that you aren’t pinching the prosthetic shut, just allowing the urethra to become the shape of an “O” to release.
The triangle tuck flap at the end of the cup is made for tucking between butt cheeks to allow flow down the urethra and stop from spillage as well! Do whatever works best for you, there is no right or wrong way!
Hard Line Prosthetics is a novelly penile prosthetic company and is not intended to use for sex. However should you choose to use your prosthetic for sex, use a condom to help prevent disease!
